I was sorting out all my millions of random favourites on my Internet explorer and came across all of the websites I used to use for photos and HTML codes and stuff back in the day when I was a piczo/ myspace fiend. Look what I found! This is only one of the many photos I found as I was browsing about. I don't know why but I could look at some of these photos for ages. There could be so many stories behind this one, for instance, and I just want to write them all down.
Something else nice, i found this amazing cover of Kings of Leon's Use Somebody by Pixie Lott.

It almost moved me to tears, I'm a complete sap for these things. Anyway, I was surprised at how amazing it sounds acoustic, so much less ugly than the real version.
I'll leave with a little poem i jotted down in the back of my much abused writing note book (nicknamed Kieran, surprisingly.) when I was just contemplating a few things to do with Soul Searching etc, mostly so far into the future that I doubt I'll ever get round to writing them down.
Hope glimmers
In the darkness,
At the centre.
At the soul
A small white light
Flickers,
And it's all we need
To get through one more day.
With hope
At my side,
I have something to live for.

Hey! Great poem btw I love how you used really short lines to capture the seclusion of the emotion playing about in the verse. Keep up the amazing work!
ReplyDeleteAnyways (before i start drooling...lol jokes) I want to comment on the photo. Did you take it? Or is it photoshop because its really amazing and vivid. I totally agree with you that there's so much one can deduce from it like what's Really behind the expression? A mask dipicts so many things. Then theres the age and therefore the emotion of the couple (look at the suggested comfort the guy is offering the sad girl). The dark shadows contracting vividly with the stark white. If you ever do write a piece on it I look forward to reading it. But hey" No pressure! I'm not some publisher here to audit :D

Hi, i actually just found the photo on a piczo site and thought it was cute, it didn't say who actually took it though so unfortunately we can't stalk any other photos they've taken. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure whether I'll write anything seperate on it but it seemed quite appropriate for a couple ideas i have to do with the characters in soul searching, at least I have a bit of motivation to get writing now :)
Thanks for the comments on the poem, I've got an addiction for enjambment at the moment so everything i write is just randomly chopped up as and when I feel like it. It seems to be working to good affect though :)
Thanks again x
